Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday rejected PTI’s request for an additional week to submit a response in the Islamabad Election Tribunal case concerning three federal capital constituencies.
The case was heard by a four-member bench, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja. It involved a PML-N petition seeking the transfer of cases related to the three Islamabad constituencies to a different election tribunal.
PTI candidate Shoaib Shaheen had requested a one-week extension, citing that the case was still pending in the high court, where notices had already been issued.
