Bahria Town founder Malik Riaz has emphasized that if a favorable business environment is fostered in Pakistan, and the barriers of hatred and intolerance are dismantled, he has ideas that could not only provide essential services like employment and education to the people but also rejuvenate the country’s real estate sector.
Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), the property magnate reflected on his decades-long experience, highlighting how he and his team overcame various challenges in Pakistan.
“I have over 50 years of business experience in Pakistan. I have seen many ups and downs while living here. With the grace of Allah, we successfully navigated through every difficult time,” he posted on X.
“Rather than giving in to adversity, we pushed forward and focused on rapid development in major cities like Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi,” he added. “Despite numerous obstacles, we are still working with the same dedication.”
Malik Riaz noted that Pakistan is currently going through its “worst economic period,” compounded by growing extremism and intolerance.
“My experience tells me that if Pakistan establishes a conducive business environment and eliminates hatred and intolerance, I have ideas—by the Grace of Allah—that, if implemented, could not only provide essential services such as employment, housing, education, and healthcare to the entire population, but also put the real estate sector back on the path of growth,” he stated on X.
“All we need is a stable and peaceful environment that supports both the public sector and the business community for sustained progress and development.”
